"Open Mic" Night.
You know, you get up and try what you always wanted to do or just watch
others doing some really creative stuff. Doors open at 7:00pm and
the
show starts when ever Don wants. About 8:00pm $6.00 includes refreshments.
May 10th
(one night only) "Ladies Night"
A
special event, an evening of short skits, Belly Dancers, a comedian,
and other bits and pieces for, by, and
about women. Bring your mother, grandma, daughter, sister, friend or
neighbor. (men are welcome too!) Hors’ d’oeuvres
and beverage served by distinguished men in tuxedos.

7:00pm Cost $20.00
This
special event was created by the Beatniks Ladies Auxiliary as a
fundraiser for Chairs!! Yes I said chairs! Beatniks was created on a
limited budget and has chairs on loan from the Great Oaks After
Four
Club. Eventually we would like to have our own chairs and tables so we
can continue to grow. This is the first in many events the ladies have
planned to raise the funds needed.
If you bring three
or more non-perishables items for Haven House, you will get $1.00
off your ticket price.
May 11th and 12th,(Monday and Tuesday) open auditions for Hammond Community Theatre's "Just Say
Yes". 7 to 9 PM. Roles for 2 men and 3 women. 5 performances, July
18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 2008 at Beatniks.

Saturday)
Improv; "The
Village Idiots" presents improv. This
improv troupe hales from Cedar Lake and we are very glad to see them
here for this very special weekend $8.00

June 6, 7, 13, 14 (No Sunday),Grand Calumet Players present "Breaking Legs" by
Tom Dulak. Take an Italian Resturant, the beautiful girl
running the place,
throw in a playwright and some gangsters...and you get a madcap
situation; murder and menace are served up with plenty of pasta
and
laughter.
